MPMsim™, short for Material Point Method Simulation, is a 3D continuum mechanics tool for static and dynamic stress analysis. MPMsim™ is powered by an enhanced and extended version of the Material Point Method (MPM).

Taking advantage of aspects from both Eulerian and Lagrangian methods, Material Point Method is better suited than the traditional finite element method for problems involving large deformations, impact/contact, localization, crack propagation, material penetration, fracture and fragmentation.

To fully tap into the potential of this innovative simulation engine, MPMsim™ introduces a uniquely suited approach to pre-processing making defining models as easy and straightforward as never seen before.

Additionally, an extensive set of post processing, visualization and data analysis tools comes bundled. These in-built capabilities come directly from MATLAB, a world leader in engineering for data analysis and visualization.

MPMsim™ has been under development for over two years. Its features and capabilities have been thoroughly tested followed by an extensive verification and validation of results against theory, experiments, and results from industry standard FEA software.

A wide range of add-ons and toolboxes are currently being developed and will be released on an ongoing basis as free updates or optional upgrades. These will expand MPMsim's base functionality and capabilities to meet specialised needs.
