rubberbodies is a multi-disciplinary artist collective based on the island of Malta. The initial idea was not to create a collective. Through discussions, we realised that an artist network is missing within a community which strives for the expression of the individual. We all talk about creative ideas and the desire to translate them and share them. We decided that collectively we could create something stronger, through the interchange of ideas and the universality of our cultural inheritance.
We come from a similar family background – the working class; ancestors land workers, fathers victims
