Non-Profit Organizations

Chop Shop is a bi-monthly TV show and Podcast that documents the hip-hop non-profit All Walks of Life Inc. Based in Savannah, Georgia, A.W.O.L. provides arts and technology education to youth in underserved communities.

In this episode, we watch as AWOL's theater and performing arts program, Act Up! prepares for the premiere of Situations: Shakespeare's Sonnets. Then we check in with some of the budding producers and rappers in AWOL's sound design program, The P.R.O.J.E.C.T.S. as they prepare for their record release party at Lake Mayer. Next, students from the University of Florida assist AWOL's computer recycling program, The Goon Squad at a computer giveaway. After that, some students from AWOL's media production program, My Block talk about their work last year on the Ebb and Flow documentary. Finally, we wrap up with some video work from AWOL's current crop of media producers as they document the Savannah Urban Arts Festival's teen hip-hop night.
