It's been awhile since I've had the chance to play around shooting raw with my Blackmagic Cinema Camera. And, as good as the ProRes quality is, I do love shooting and - more obviously - color grading the raw footage from this camera. So when my fiancee and her best friend asked me if I wanted to join them on a quick trip to the zoo, I packed up my trusty BMCC, Canon 17-55 IS, Canon 18-200, and my Anker portable battery (with 12v output).
Everything was shot handheld without any support. IS was on with both lenses the entire time. I imported the raw dng files into Lightroom 4, applied my color grade, and exported about 44,000 .tif files. Imported everything in After Effects and exported everything to ProRes422(HQ). Edited with Premiere CS6.
Hope you enjoy!
