Ostrich chicks just hatched at the Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch in Arizona! I've been friends with the Cogburns since 2006. They have an amazing place and they know how to show people a good time. Learn more at roostercogburn.com

I added a tip jar to this video and here's why. I'm working on a 360 (a.k.a. Full dome) show about the various critter exhibits at the ranch. The finished show will be 24 minutes and will be a totally immersive film that entertains and teaches people about miniature donkeys, ostriches, prairie dogs, lorikeets, goats, and other Old McDonald type creatures. It will also capture some of the native flora and fauna of the Southwest. I hope to sell it to planetariums, science centers, and the like. These productions are expensive and very tedious to make. I'm self funding it entirely and anything extra I raise will be helpful.
I got into 360 video when the University of Alaska Anchorage hired me to make River of Bears, a show about the famous brown bears at McNeil River. That was a great experience and it hooked me on full dome. But as you can see from this video, I still shoot in flatscreen format, too. I shot most of this on a 7d with a wide lens, some of it with a Canon xa10.
I licensed the royalty free music through premiumbeat.com The track (appropriately enough) is called "Early Bird."
Thanks for watching.
