Electric Vehicle Drive in Helsinki, sunday 5th February 2012.
The weather on the last day of World Design Capital Helsinki’s Design Weekend was sunny, but very cold: below minus 26°c degrees (-14° Fahrenheit) in the morning as can be seen from the video. Due to heavy snowfall of the previous days, Helsinki was covered with thick blanket of snow.
The nine participating electric vehicles started their motors on a parking lot next to Helsinki Olympic Stadium and drove a route that consisted of some of the major streets in Helsinki with a detour to the shore of frozen Gulf of Finland. The procession ended to Senate Square at the front of Helsinki Cathedral.

The cameras performed well despite the extreme low temperature. There was some lagging/tails on the LCD-screens at some point. The photograher´s fingers almost froze.
