In the Backseat was previewed at the Brighton Film Festival and premiered at the London Short Film Festival to sold-out sessions at the start of the year. It has recently been screened at the Edinburgh Short Film Festival and is now being submitted to other UK film festivals.

The film was also selected by Picturehouse Cinemas to launch the 'Visions of Brighton' programme in June 2013, a new initiative promoting new film talent. It has since been screened during the Brighton Digital Festival's Film Show and Tell.
From the backseat of his parents' car, the world outside seems distant and unknowable. Yet a chance encounter, and a little courage, are all that Sam Falleau needs to escape the confines of a life whose course is being decided for him.

In the Backseat invites you to step inside a single moment in time, when the noise of living has fallen away, and the experience of being alive is everything.
