During the era revealed in the special exhibition Impressionist Paris: City of Light, photography was making an impact on the way images were being reproduced and seen. Displaced as the industry standard for reproductive purposes, printmaking was then freed up to find a new place as an art form. Photographer and printmaker Javier Manrique demonstrates the basic principles of printmaking in an interactive process and presents samples of his printmaking techniques.
