Coffee is a religion in Italy. Here are some variations. In summer, Italians drink "Shakerato"--iced coffee prepared as only Italians can do it: strong hot expresso poured over ice and shaken (not stirred...), with sugar syrup (melted sugar), added. For the really adventurous, "taglio al caffe" is an expresso served with a scoop of ice cream. More classic is the "marocchino", basically half a cappuccino with melted chocolate at the bottom and chocolate powder on top. Whichever one you choose, it will increase your heart rate!
