These three disciplines of aerial videography represent video footage shot from a remote controlled aircraft, whether that is an airplane, helicopter or multicopter. The aircraft is piloted from the first person perspective through the use of sophisticated video cameras, displays, transmitters, receivers, waypoint programming, stabilization, gimbals and autopilot systems. In essence the RC pilot flies the aircraft live from the view that would be seen from on the aircraft itself.

This is not only quite exhilarating but also allows for precise control of the video image captured. Because of this precise control, the highest quality, high-definition video cameras are able to record cinema-quality footage.

The freedom that FPV, UAV and RC Aerial Videography offers allows for video content that could not have been captured by any other means in the past. While aerial videography can be shot from full scale aircraft, those vehicles are limited by their size, weight, speed, cost and accessibility to certain areas. RC aerial videography provides a small, portable and relatively inexpensive means for capturing the ultimate aerial footage.
