This is a part of the documentary called ' Across the Web'[working title] The documentary follows the making of the first music album ["The Message Stick"] to be completely created using files transferred between home music studios from all over the globe. While individual pieces of music are regularly 'collaborated' in this way, this is a world first in creative use of the Internet to make an entire double album.
The documentary itself is being created in the same way...with individual musicians and film makers recording their parts in their own studios and environments, transferring them 'across the web' and the final edit happens in one studio. This part of the doco features Native American artist Earthsongs and Grandfather Hinzi Luzaha who are the opening and closing music parts of disc one of the album.
It shows part of a Lakota smoke ritual and a powerful chant, the meaning of which is explained by Grandfather.
The doco will show many different lifestyles and cultures, as the music itself does.
