The Sony Wonder Technology Lab (SWTL) is a free museum in New York City which embodies a balance between education, entertainment, media and technology. It focuses on the themes of interconnectivity, creativity and personalization. The museum inspires creativity in a high-quality, engaging, and family-friendly learning environment.

Unified Field worked in close collaboration with the Sony team and with the joint venture of Lee H. Skolnick Design + Partnership and Big Show Construction. We developed the design and technology of the interactive media, and developed the fourteen programs on the new 3rd and 4th floors, which inspire visitors to explore topics such as: animation, markerless motion capture, medical imaging, haptic technology, robotics, medical imaging, nanotechnology and television news production.

Upon entering the space, visitors receive a Felica card, which is a smart RFID card that provides them with customized and personalized access to all the activities in the space. Visitors shape their own experience, save it and share it - connecting with the larger experience of the larger community.
