Avant-garde films

A haiku film, Obstructing Abstractions, weaves two distinct moments in time, constructing a larger, more significant picture. While acting as a reflexive piece, Obstructing Abstractions studies and illuminates the vigorous effects film plays on our own interpretative and physiological experiences. Obstructing Abstractions is constructed to uphold the misplaced definition of art by observing and respecting the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination. Treated as an exercise in the method of juxtaposition and frame editing, this piece holds a mirror to the audience, presenting a subject that has been engaged, submerged and spellbound within the work, ultimately and irresistibly captivating him or her. Created as an intoxicating and energizing exploit, in its ultimate settlement, Obstructing Abstractions concludes where it begun, yet the perception of the abstraction has hopefully changed.
