2. Portrait of a Stranger
Russ has recently moved back to Joplin, MO after graduating school in Hawaii. This year we have had some pretty crazy here in Missouri. One day it's in the 20's and the next day it's in the 60's. This weekend it was in the 60's. So, my family and I went out to go hiking and climbing. That is where I met Russ. He was practicing rock climbing. As he was finishing up I started talking with him about climbing and my assignment. He was more than happy to help out. I also took some photos of him climbing.
He also told me before moving back he bought a Canon T3i to document a backpacking trip that some of his friends and him had done. It was fun to talk with him about his trip and experience, the camera, and the video functions of the camera.
As a filmmaker I have set an additional challenge and goal for my self as I go through Project 52.
That goal is to create a :90 or less short film for every assignment that will be posted on Vimeo.
Visit my Project 52 Flickr site to see the photos that go along with the weekly assignments.
