American producer Billy Dalessandro performed at Sugar Beach in Toronto as a part of Sound In Motion 2012. The Chicago-native -- who has since relocated to Montreal -- took the beach party from relaxed grooves into full out party mode. Billy is one of those producers who has so much energy when performing live that listeners can't help but get sucked into his mentality, closely following every twist and turn he throws at them.
In our backstage interview with Billy, he touches on his technical set up for live shows, explaining his personal preferences in terms of gear he uses and how he keeps his sets as "live" as possible. Billy also expresses his views on the role of music in free-thinking intellectualism, and how the corporatization of music and "business" influence can negatively affect it.
