Pushing the boundaries of "Live Remixing" MPC 2000 style on Native Instruments Maschine, DJ SEAP brings you this one take rendition of the classic Wolfgang Gartner track "Menage A Trois" with no sequencing or synching. This one was nearly incredibly tricky to pull off but I love the track so I figured I'd give it a go. First I found the tiny little bits that made up the essence of the track, them re-sampled into Maschine and mapped them out in a (semi) playable order with some pads linked to "Choke Groups" (a key technique for live finger drumming) and others not. Other than 2 longer transition samples, none of the bits are more than a beat long. This was nearly impossible to pull off but an excellent challenge of the key finger drumming techniques of dexterity and some two hand stuff (more like a piano player than a drummer).
