The “ Mood Machine ” is an interactive installation with the Tesla coil. Although the Tesla coil is used as the experimental media, the aim of the creation is to explore the information of Tesla coil in application to multi-media as a new media: “The abstract information expression of experimental media ” becomes the subject of the experiment.

Through simulating human emotion as the delivered information, it enables the audiences to feel the abstract information appearing in a psychological model through sound, light, electricity, abstract senses of sight, hearing, felling and touching, as well as interaction with audience, so as to achieve an expression of the experimental media in multi-media design.

Although electricity is dangerous, the Tesla coil is embodied with as an artistic expressive force as painting, sculpture, audio and video materials, and can enable a shocking multi-media experience through careful design and protection.
