I'm dedicating this video to my loving father and to all of my grandparents, Lao Ye, Lao Lao, Ye Ye, and Nai Nai. They've all been a big inspiration to me.
My dad was an aerospace engineer, yet his many hobbies outside of work really defined his character. He was a writer, poet, Chinese opera singer, tennis player, and photographer. Even to this day, after all these years, it puts a tear in my eye knowing that he was a true cinematographer as well.
I'm blessed to have find over 25 8mm rolls stored in a box in the garage. It took a while to find a trust worthy telecine/HD transfer company to get the job done, but I found one and decided to have all the rolls transfer to HD. I thank God that I was able to share this video with the rest of my family during Thanksgiving 2010. It was truly amazing, and with current technology, we can now share this video to everyone on the internet forever.
Thanks Dad! We love and miss you very much! Your love for all of us is shown in these films. We will never forget you. I love and think about you daily.
NOTE: I'm the baby leaving the hospital with my mom at 33:32 and I'm also showcased with my older brother at the end of the video with my Dad and grandma.
