turned 30 this year and I've been a skateboarder for 19 years now. (Wow.) This video is a tribute to everybody's first passion and love. Skateboarding was mine.

I was lucky enough to have the whole skatepark to myself this morning and try some special filming and odd angles. I never have anybody to film me, so I have to get creative.

This will probably be the last footage of me skating for a long time if not ever. I don't see myself progressing and I'm not a quick healer like I used to be.

I will always be a lifer.

Nice! Far better than anything I can do (film-wise) right now. Think mixing speeds would make this a bit more compelling (e.g. pure skating at full speed, then slo-mo for tricks, board in the air, etc). But like I said, this is far better than anything I can make so nice job! I like it.

    Dave,

I understand what you're saying. However, and don't take this wrong, I didn't want this to look like every other video out there that does exactly what you just said. Ty Evans and other big skate vid producers do the whole speed change thing constantly and it's getting kind of old. I wanted to do a slow-tage. The only part thats sped up is the time in between the bigspin run. It just took too long in slowmo.

    Thanks for the props man.

I liked this, very nice job in editing and keeping the focus. You had very nice closeups on the skill shots. It gave me a perspective of just how precise you need to be to perform on a skateboard.
