Portland Oregon sights and sounds

"My Street" marks the first short film where I worked along a script and included such elements of filmmaking as acting, budgeting, and current social issues relating directly to my interests as well as place of residence. Based on the events that took place at the beginning of the June 2012, which involved the possible ban of skateboarding from specific routes located in the South West hills situated here in Portland, Oregon. The ban was proposed by a select few of the homeowners that reside in the west hills. The ban made it to city council where it was voted against and instead of a zero tolerance policy, two signs were proposed as the solution in which they list the rules and courtesies of skateboarding in the west hills.

Special Thanks to Lorenzo Martinez and Nick Stibolt for their dedication to the film as well as Kevin Solomon, Tyson Vassar, and Damian Bradley for their participation as well.

Filmed using both Nikon and Canon DSLR's and edited in FCP 7.

Intermediate Video, Fall 2012 with Professor Stephen Slappe.
