It was a cold day in Boston, but three freelancers were just heating it up. Co-Creators NABO (Design & Illustration) and Jake Benjamin (Editorial & Composite) sat down by the fire and banged out the twisted "X-MAS" script in one day. Their excuse for why they wrote a story in such haste was "In a sick way, we like the feeling of being creatively pained during the Holidays". It all started with the concept of mashing a Christmas themed short with the dark nature of a graphic detective novel tone. "X-MAS" practically wrote itself. The characters came straight out of the classic tales of Christmas, making it even more ridiculous once it went dark. "Once we realized that we were going to have to kill off one of the most lovable characters of all time, "Frosty", there was no turning back." The Storyboards and Composite took just under a month to complete, but please factor in the guys had a few late night sips of "The NOG". "After the visuals started rolling we brought in a heavy gun to crank out the sound design, Mark Wong. A new Holiday thriller was born." If you're tired of the sweet stench of sappy Holiday Cards and you're looking for a twisted tale of Holiday Cheer, check out what the guys sent out as their version of an X-MAS card to the world.
P.S. Don't eat the red snow!!!
