Aro Valley Digital
Aro Valley Digital was the name given to a loose group of film-makers by film theorist Russell Campbell. All the film-makers have, even if only for a short time, lived in the Aro Valley (a suburb in Wellington, New Zealand).
This group includes (or at one point included) Campbell Walker, Diane McAllen, Colin Hodson, Nia Robyn, Alexander Greenhough, Elric Kane, Dick Whyte, Tim Wyborn, Andy Chappell, Sarah Jane Parton, Toby Donald and Melissa Donald (among others). We have been making films (both features and shorts) together and apart, for more than 10 years.
