The UNESCO World Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte exists for over 100 years and was one of Germany´s largest iron producing plants. In the 1980s, the ironwork was closed and a new production plant for steel was built. The heavy industry still accompanies Völklingen and is like the town´s landmark. For most residents, it´s a place of dust, steam and fire. But some people found the beauty in there and fortunately started the Electro Magnetic Festival last year. No place fits better to electronic music than this one. And nothing fits better to these pictures than electronic music.
