Hello everybody :-)
Today was our weekly day off from training. The weather was beautiful. So, we decided to go up to the Golden Peak, or Golden Palace which is the highest temple of Wudang Shan.
Wudang Shan is one of the five sacred Daoist mountains in China. It is the cradle of the daoist internal martial arts.
The first temple was constructed there in the Tang dynasty (618-907), but most of the temples that now beautiful blend with the magnificent mountains and also exhalt them, have been built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
Usually, I hike up to the Golden Peak, but today we decided to take the funicular. It was a beautiful ride and felt like flying through the mountains... just like the Daoist immortals :-)
It was nice for me too as the funicular was built by Austrians... so I got a taste of home in China :-)
We then spent some time at the temple complex and enjoyed the beautiful and very clear view. I hope you will enjoy it too!
Then we hiked back quite a few stairs down to Nanyan, another temple complex to which I hope to introduce you soon :-)
Good Qi and beautiful inspirations from Wudang to all of you :-)
PS: the music is "La voie de l'ange" by Georges Schmitt.
