I find behind the scenes videos and photographs fascinating. It's always interesting for me to see what's going on, on the side of the camera that we don't see on tv. I don't think I'm alone, people are interested in seeing what goes on behind the scenes at organizations, and it's become a large part of social media.
So I'm always surprised when an organization rolls out their slick new 30 second tv spot, that they clearly spent a lot of money producing, but then doesn't tie in their social media audience by giving them a view into how it was made.
Think of it this way, you're going to be on set supervising during the filming of the spot. The least you could do is snap a couple photos with your phone to share on your Facebook page. Or you could take it a little further and produce something like this.
