The CBD is a global environmental treaty to protect all life on earth, slow accelerating extinction rates, and defend indigenous peoples. “Biodiversity” signifies all our planet's life forms from bacteria and plankton to mighty redwoods and blue whales. It embraces the entire web of life and all the ecosystems that it forms.

Earth Foundation produced these interviews in Nagoya, Japan in late October 2010 at the historic U.N. COP 10 conference. Over 12,000 people attended this two-week meeting making it the largest biodiversity conference ever held.
