I hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday. I certainly did and I decided to share it with all of your through the eye of my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. I wanted to shoot with the camera run and gun, over the course of a few hours, in RAW, and see how it turned out.
In the end, I was very happy with the results. I shot constant at 800 ASA, F2.8, at 19mm but with a shutter angle of 45 degrees. I shot with this shutter for two reason; one: I wanted the the look just stylistically for this 'perspective' video - I didn't want the viewers to think that I was trying to be cinematic with the footage. Second: because I wanted to see how easy I could pull stills from the camera while holding it handheld.
In the end, I was pretty impressed with the footage. Especially toward the evening when the light dwindled. While I wanted to add a little noise reduction, I decided not to just to show how well it did perform without manipulation. But Neat Video to this would have cleaned the footage up nicely.
