CEREBRAL PALSY VIDEOS

BioTensegrity is an analytical framework for interpreting biomechanics of human movement and pathology that is far superior to the classic myotendonous pivot-and-strings model taught by 'functional anatomy'. The deficiencies of the classic model are best seen at the extremes of musculo-skeletal disorders -- especially quadriplegic cerebral palsy. The presentation done by Leonid Blyum at the 2nd BioTensegrity meeting (Rome, Oct 2010) gives details of shortcomings of the classic biomechanics for cerebral palsy using the example of hip subluxation and gives the outline of how the biotensegrity framework opens a lot more advanced way of understanding cerebral palsy being moth more informative, predictive yet compact at the same time.
