Typographic animation test using Nodebox2, a node-based visual programming engine and software application based on Python.
Nodebox2 takes a very different path to visual programming than Nodebox1. In many ways they are completely different projects. The node-based modular workflow is really fun to play with, and its strength lies in drawing not as individuals but as a network / collective.
In many ways it reminds me of NetLogo, an agent-based modeling software developed by Mitchel Resnick. His book titled "Turtles, Termites, and Traffic Jams: Explorations in Massively Parallel Microworlds (Complex Adaptive Systems)" was what originally got me interested in the study of decentralized networks afterall.
Nodebox2 shows much promises, and I am more than pscyhed to have discovered it recently while researching Python libraries for interactive work.
