CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) is a challenge-response test most often placed within web forms to determine whether the user is human. 'Unraveling Captcha' is a networked poetic visualisation of these cryptic security codes saved randomly over a several year period. Michael Alstad entered the captcha words into google images to create an avatar narrated animation that runs the gamut from child poverty, aliens, internet porn addiction, crashed markets, Second Life skins, lovely pigeons and ramen noodles.
