Visiting once again in Fort Worth I decided to capture some of the local color on tape. The Water Gardens was my first project. I also plan to visit the Botanical Garden, Japanese Gardens and several local architectural gems.
Music is "Kid on a Cot" by Nightnoise.
Constructed of pink Texas granite in downtown Fort Worth, the Water Gardens is a nice place to visit on a hot summer day (I did on July 12, 2008).
Time was early morning. I used a Canon XH A1, standard lens, with a few shots on a ProAm DVC-200 crane. I am still learning to use the crane, but still managed to have some fun with it.
Believe me, lugging a crane, counterweights, LCD and cables around single handedly is definitely not for the faint of heart! My 'grip' was a lowly wheel truck with rectangular bucket bungeed onto it.
For those thinking about a crane, get good bearings on key pivots! I am thinking about some other mods as well.
