The Muslim world receives a staggering amount of negative press in Western countries. Over the past summer I had the chance to spend a month in an incredibly vivid and spectacularly beautiful Islamic country. One of my most memorable days in Turkey was spent on The Other Tour -- a cultural journey throughout Istanbul that takes travelers into neighborhoods, restaurants, and markets that are typically only visited by locals. I made this short video to compare the typical Istanbul tourist perspective with what I experienced on The Other Tour. I made this because I felt that more Westerners deserve to see the other side of the Muslim world -- the rich flavors, vivid textures, beautiful music, delicious food, and incredible people.
