Coastal Community Network The CCN is the "big voice for small communities" in BC. Our role is to link coastal communities, to develop common ground on resource and marine policy, and to articulate the needs of coastal communities to senior governments, industry, media and the general public.
These clips never aired or have been broadcast. They were produced for the purposes of briefing individuals regarding the results of the Mission. In order of appearance:
Jonathan Bartlett is a recipient of a Jack Webster Award in 2005 for Science and Technology in Television Journalism at JackWebster.com see atv.ca/victoria/personalities_JonathanBartlett.aspx
Patrick asked Jonathan to join the Mission to Stavanger Norway in 2006 as the embedded video journalist with no rules of engagement. Jonathan was granted full access to all elements of the 15 day familiarization tour.
Jonathan produced his series the week after the Mission returned to Canada.
Patrick and Jonathan produced a DVD of clips which are still in use today as critical communications tools used to debug conservation campaigners messages against responsible use of the ocean.
