At last I´ve tested this wonderfull software, that it is worth every penny I spent. I choosed video footage shot this late summer for the production of "La gran Familia Española" directed by Daniel Sanchez Arevalo.
I´m so delighted with this software emulation that I sware I will use it in every future project. As a vintage lens freak, I found this tool imprescidible to get that cinematic look, now I can say I´m really close to it.
The old manual lenses works very well, not very much the modern Panasonic 14mm, even with the awesome "AN444soft" from Driftwood. I guess It would need some softness in post to match the cine look.
Still I got some doubts on how to set up the camera to match the FILMCONVERT profiles, I do not know if I´m doing the things right.
The 5DmkII shoots are my favourites ones (first one shot and the girls in the couch) , specially with the marriage of Fujinon lenses and Fuji stock emulsion. My favourite B&W shots are those made with Summicron R 50mm (first B&W shot). All the 5dmkII footage is made with Flaat10, imprescindible tool, and also the 5d flaat profile in Filmconvert. Gh2 has the standard setting and FC profile.
What do you Think?
