last week or so had to reinstall everything after win7 timing out - used it as an opportunity to use the nvidia raid on my motherboard (type 0 stripe set) and so far very happy with extra hd bandwidth -(have given the nvidia raid process an affinity with one of the later cores so it doesnt impact fsx)

original vid is 1600 x 1190 but because both vimeo and youtube do their own resizing down have given up uploading full size versions - hadnt flown madeira for a while on the old installation because I thought there was a conflict with some other scenery - turns out the madeira x scenery coastlines do look bad until you up the mesh settings way higher than manual suggests - these are 5m and 95 % complexity

again using fsx go to increase fsx texture bandwidths above the usual - apologies for the water - this rex reef texture doesnt tile as well as some of their others
