Visual3D Cinematics Editor is used to define a smooth scripted movement sequence for the camera and for aircraft entity by placing a few waypoints (which can also be used as points of interest or goals for navigation/pathfinding AI) and/or by snapping a few keyframes of camera's position.

This shows older version of Cinematics and Path Editors which have since been much improved in usability and functionality.
