Welcome to the GH2 film challenge group.

This group is for owners of the Panasonic GH1 and GH2 to get together and encourage each other to get the most from this exciting little powerhouse of a camera.

I was looking through some forums the other day searching for some "proper" film projects made with the GH1/GH2 and so far have only found a one or two films made using this wonder camera.

Generally folks on the forum were saying they thought the films looked awesome and interestingly said that they really should go out with their own cameras and shoot something.

I've been caught up in the never ending world of pixelpeeping, and I think for my own sanity I should just stop looking at zoomed in footage of stuff and start making films.

The purpose of the site is that a "challenge" is set every month. The challenge is a word or a phrase that folk can interpret any way they like and go out and shoot a short film using that title. While writing/story and acting are obviously key to making a good film, what I would really like to see is a short that is "cinematic" and shows off how good footage from the GH2/1 can be.

I've seen all of the videos of the camera filming hillsides and flowers and being taken through Thailand - (these are all good) - but I'd really like to see the camera being used to create a "film" - y'know action/people doing stuff other than home video style actions.

There any some really good groups out there for GH2/1 and I don't want to step on anybody's toes and I will provide links to them soon - but if you feel the same way as me about GH2 filmmaking then join the group and let's get some challenges going!
