I visited the Photokina 2012 in cologne on its last day and had a great time watching and trying all kind of different camera stuff. I saw a short presentation by Sebastian Wiegärtner and by Nino Leitner and Sarah Estela. It was also great to try different lenses, one of my favorite ones was the Rokinon/SamYang 35 mm T1.5 Cinelens. A full manual controlled lense with lensgears on.
It was a pleasure to see how sharp this lens is. I also tried these lenses:
- Tamron 24-70 2.8 mm
- Canon 85 1.2 L
- Canon Pancake 40 2.8
Every lens seen here was tested on a 5D Mark III. Only the last shot on the Kessler Crane Lite was done with a Mark2, because i was not allowed to place my own cam onto the crane. That's why it's a bit overexposured.
Sadly i had no time left to check out the Blackmagic Cinema Cam, but i held the Panasonic GH3 and did some short filming with it. Its new OLED Screen looks razor sharp.
Thanks to my friend Michael to be the "test model" :)
