Your Great Green Places

The South Carolina Botanical Garden is a public garden in Clemson, SC that is open free of charge, year round, from sun-up to sunset. The Garden began as a 10-acre camellia collection in the late-1950s and evolved slowly over the decades to become 300 acres. Half of the acreage is cultivated and half is natural woodlands. Administered by Clemson University, the Garden is home to the Bob Campbell Geology Museum and an internationally recognized Nature-based Sculpture Program. The Garden was officially designated as the South Carolina Botanical Garden by the State's legislature in the mid-1990s. Thousands visit the Garden each month for recreation, arts events, weddings and educational classes.
