Welcome to La Sonanta's 4th edition of the Flamenco Guitar Maestro Classes, 'Caño Roto' by Jerónimo Maya

This is one of the biggest DVD Flamenco Guitar productions ever made. The book has 194 A4 pages in English and Spanish. The double layer DVD PAL all regions, Spanish spoken with English subtitles, has almost 4 hours of content.

In La Sonanta's 4th edition of the Flamenco Guitar Maestro Classes 'Caño Roto', Jerónimo Maya, the direct descendent of flamenco guitar legend Ramon Montoya, invites us all to learn his Canorroto flamenco guitar techniques and playing. Based on four of his own compositions, Jeronimo guides you through his specific techniques of Rasgueados, Picado, Arpeggio, El Cantor, and Legado. Jeronimo not only demonstrates these techniques separately, but also in practice, by playing complete compositions, which are then replayed slowly on a split screen with close ups of the left and right hands and a dynamic on-screen compas. The accompanying book provides authentic transcriptions, written by Max Herzog in close collaboration with Jeronimo in both standard music notation and tablature. The DVD includes in depth interviews with Jeronimo and his famous family, that discover the origins of his incredible talent from an early age, the importance of his family and his roots and his philosophy of music, practice and flamenco in general. Jeronimo Maya is considered by many to be the most outstanding flamenco guitarist of the new generation. His enormous creativity and impeccable technique allows him to create music which goes beyond traditional flamenco, whilst never forgetting the strength of his flamenco foundations and remaining accessible to a broad public. In the spring of 2013 Jerónimo Maya will also release his new flamenco CD 'Como Soy' published by La Sonanta and produced by José Luis Garrido of the legendary flamenco studios Musitron.
