The Okikawa, a Japanese WWII oiler sank by Allied forces in 1942 in Coron Bay, Busuanga, Philippines. A beautiful wreck accessible only 5 minutes away from the Puerto Del Sol resort, and the scene of many of our dives in Coron.
We enter through the propeller shaft, swimming through the engine room and through the massive oil tanks in the midships, finally exiting through the wreckage at the bow. The entire video was taken in one long shot, displaying the many areas of the wreck, deep into the belly of the boat.
Featuring the magnificent diving skills of Maita Aque and Gemma Thomas, and lead by Gunter Bernert, the founder and owner of Discover Divers in Coron.
