A+C Studios is an animation production studio, specialising in traditional lens based animation. However, there is nothing traditional about our work! We love to combine hand crafted and original stop motion techniques with new and experimental ideas and design. In 2013, the producers of Canterbury Anifest met Deeson Creative.
Deeson Creative suggested that they train the Anifest team in social media marketing strategy and how to use social media tools. They helped with content and tips on posting, replying and boosting reach.

On Twitter, Anifest's hashtag had a high reach and exposure with a peak of 70,000 impressions just before the event and stabilising at 50,000 impressions during the festival.

On Facebook, fans grew by 31% in the two months running up to Canterbury Anifest 2013.
Around 60% of Canterbury Anifest's Facebook fans are women and 40% are men.

Top Facebook post locations included Canterbury, Whitstable, Faversham and London.
Canterbury Anifest replied to 83% of Facebook fans who posted on its page.

In 2013, Canterbury Anifest increased audiences for events with traditionally low attendance. The social media campaign attracted more families to the festival.

Deeson Creative's analysis after the festival has allowed Canterbury Anifest to adjust their social media strategy and create content to achieve maximum impact in the future.
