Client: Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ
Background: As part of their ongoing celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Henry Rowan's historic $100 million endowment, Rowan University commissioned a series of short videos highlighting the progress made at the institution in the 20 years since the initial gift.
This particular video focuses on some of the major achievements the University has reached as a result of, or building off of, the initial Rowan gift. It also includes a portion of a statue dedication ceremony in Mr. Rowan's honor (and an all too brief shot of the statue being forged at 1:00, which is the coolest thing I have shot to date).
The University worked with us to craft a descriptive voiceover, which we then recorded, and provided us with all of the archival stills used in the piece. It was publicized in the University magazine, blast emails and in ad buys in the regional newspapers in advance of the 20th anniversary of the announcement of the gift.
Shot with two Panasonic HVX-200As, and a Panasonic AF-100 with a 35mm Nikon prime lens. Special thanks to Tim Stollery, who was our B-Camera operator during the statue dedication.
