Absorbit is a cutting edge multiplayer movement based game. Run and your orb follows you, growing as you absorb stars and smaller players.
An aerially suspended thermal camera in addition with an tracking software provided by PELS and CADET research labs sends the players positions and velocity over OSC protocol to a Unity3D Application. This Application is responsible for the game mechanics and correct rendering of the grid which is screened onto the floor by a high powered projector.
Absorbit was made at Schmiede2012 by Adam Awan & Rene Baumgartner in collaboration with the University of Applied Science Salzburg, CADET and PELS.
