The latest collaboration between Lola Perrin and The Gray Circle since Perpetual Motion. The music takes haunting themes from Janacek's 1926 masterpiece, Glagolitic Mass (movements 1 & 6) and transplants them to a virgin territory where classical minimalism meets jazz improvisation.
The Gray Circle's projected visuals are a fast-paced montage of images from American cities incorporating speeding cars, train platforms, commuters and vast night-time cityscapes.
The result is a frenzied evocation of urban life to accompany the second part of Perrin‘s composition which recently had its world premiere in London.
