Original Storytelling

Instead of writing a screenplay for my first narrative short film “Jet”, I decided to shoot the entire film in one day, with no more than $200 in order to audition parts, develop the story, scout locations, etc. Essentially I made the same film twice: once as a run-through, which is called “Jet (The Screenplay)”, and then again months later with a $10,000 budget, which is simply called “Jet”.

I don’t see these two variations of Jet as “original” and “remake”. It was an experimental way to develop a story that had unintended results. I hadn't planned on releasing “Jet (The Screenplay)” because it was only intended to be a guide, but in some ways it came out better than “Jet”. Thanks for watching.
