This video was produced for a visual anthropology course at the University of Kent, Canterbury in the Spring of 2012.
The makers, Francesca Wicks and Natalie Freeman, had been interested in themes relating to ‘masculinity’ prior to this project and the module provided an opportunity to speak to men about how they feel about their ‘maleness’.
This piece does not aim to represent all men and all masculinities but does hope to provide some insight into how some men feel about being male. It hopes to provoke dialogue, contributing to the discourse surrounding masculinity and asks the viewer how they feel about masculinity.
