          My name is Gemma Hannah, and I am a Storyteller. I’d like you to take part in my exciting experiment to find out if the ancient art of storytelling can be shared online and reach a whole new audience.

          You can play a part in keeping the tradition of storytelling alive. Are you up for the challenge?

          Wherever you are in the world, listen to the story, film your retelling of it, then share. At the end of the project I will edit all the contributions into one collaborative story.

          The Tale

          ‘Anansi and the Box of Stories’ is a traditional West African tale set in a world without stories. It describes the right of passage of master storyteller and notorious trickster Anansi the Spider who has to complete a series of challenges to get to the Box of Stories.

          This tale is fun, mischievous and engaging. I hope it inspires you to release your inner storyteller.
