These two song clips were taken from a video I shot of a private party held deep in the Arkansas woods on January 2. M.R. "Randy" Keck invited several old friends to jam along on some songs he had written and released on various albums. The lineup is Keck (keys/vocals), John Davies (bass), Darren Novotny (drums), Earl Cate (guitar), and Cal Jackson (guitar). I shot the entire evening with three camcorders; two Sony PD170's and a Sony VX1000. The center camcorder (VX1000) got an audio feed from the small P.A. system, which had vocals, some keyboards, and a little kick drum in the mix. The PD170 at stage left was centered on the keyboards and bass. The stage right PD170 framed the guitarists and some of the drums. The audio is blended in stereo with stages L&R filling out the P.A. mixed to center. The fidelity of this live recording is very good. In the end I got snowed in as a heavy snowstorm settled into the area by midnight. I was snowed in for two days before I could drive out and get back home.
