The PJs are a band of visual artists that are renowned for their skill in projection mapping on upside-down pyramids, or Pyramid Jockeying. Brought together during workshops at Born Digital's Freemote 2011 electronic art & co-creation festival.
The theme of the festival is thresholds and tipping points, which we drew as inspiration for the shape and the interaction model. A pyramid of about 3.5 meters high hangs from the ceiling, pointing down at the audience. People can change the state of the pyramid by reaching out to or touching the tip, which is about 2m30 from the ground. The visuals are mapped onto the shape by 4 projectors.
